In 1850, Marcus was still single and living with his parents in Allegheny Township, Venango County. After Marcus’s father, David Henderson, died, and his estate was divided into 1/15 shares, Marcus bought all shares of his brothers and sisters; and therefore acquired the farm.179 In 1860 and 1870, Marcus and Esther and family were enumerated in Oil Creek Township, Venango County. The family moved from Venango County, Pennsylvania, to Stark County, Ohio, in the 1870s.180

45. LUCY3 ANN HENDERSON ( David2, James1);
born 11 July 1830; died 6 February 1901; 185 buried in Fairview Cemetery, Pleasantville Pennsylvania; married 8 June 1854 186 SAMUEL PARSHALL, born 14 November 1814 in Trumbull County, Ohio; died 4 February 1901 in Pleasantville, Pennsylvania; buried in Memory Acres Cemetery, Pleasantville. In 1850 Lucy Ann was living with her parents in Allegheny Township, Venango County.
Samuel Parshall’s first wife was Zibiah Fleming, daughter of Andrew and Ann McClintock Fleming. By this union there was one daughter, Anne Parshall—see #53 of the Fleming web site. Samuel’s parents were Samuel and Elizabeth Goutcher (or Goucher) Parshall;187 both Samuel and Elizabeth (Gouther) Parshall are buried in New Tidioute Cemetery, Warren County, Pennsylvania.188 According to Heinen (1992), page 372, Edwin Parshall, who married Lola Henderson, was a son of George Parshall, a brother of Samuel.
In 1860, Samuel and Lucy Ann Parshall sold land for $1000 in Pleasantville to Andrew Fleming (son of Andrew and Ann McClintock Fleming, and hence brother of Samuel’s first wife, Zibiah Fleming Parshall189). In 1870 and 1880, Samuel, Lucy and family were living in Oil Creek Township, Venango County, where Samuel was enumerated as a farmer.190

47. MARTHA3 MINERVA HENDERSON ( David2, James1);

Note: According to the Erie Observer, 19 July 1851, via the Venango County Genealogical Club, Summer 1996: Maria Henderson [not Martha Minerva Henderson] married Alfred Ross, 4 July 1851; both of Pleasantville, married in Union Township [Erie County, Pennsylvania] by M. Miles, J. P. This was a double wedding with Adelia [Dorcas A.] Henderson marrying Samuel Davis (see #48). This apparently is a mistake since the federal censuses list the wife of Alfred Ross as Minerva and the wife of David B. Hotchkiss as Marie or M. M.
