65. VIOLET4 ALCORN (Elizabeth3, Richard2, James1); born circa 1838; married James Lloyd, born circa 1829 in Pennsylvania. James Lloyd was a farmer. James, Violet and family lived in Deerfield Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania in 1860; they moved to the Elkhart, Indiana, area by 1870.210

Known children from 1900 and 1910 federal censuses for Elkhart, Indiana, where Elmer was listed as a polisher in a horn factory:211

  212 v. Henry E. Lloyd; born January 1863 in Pennsylvania, married Cora [—?—], born September 1869 in Michigan; the family lived in Elkhart, Indiana, where Henry was a horn maker.

  215 viii. Roy H, Lloyd, born circa 1880 in Indiana, married Mattie Pearl Kegerreis, born circa 1886 in Indiana. Roy and Mattie and Mattie's widowed mother Margaret Kegerreis (born circa 1858 in Indiana), lived in the Elkhart, Indiana, area in 1910 and 1920.213


67. MARILLA4 ALCORN (Elizabeth3, Richard2, James1); born circa 1841; married Joshua Lloyd, born circa 1831 in Ohio.

In 1860, Joshua, Marilla and daughter Eva were living next door to James and Violet (Alcorn) Lloyd in Deerfield Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania (also in this area at the same time was James and Mary Alcorn Henderson and their family).214 One would suspect that James and Joshua were brothers—they were both born in Ohio according to the federal censuses. In 1880, Marilla and daughter Eva B Lloyd, were living with Marilla's brother William W. Alcorn and his family in Kossuth County, Iowa.215

Known children of Joshua and Marilla (Alcorn) Lloyd:

  216 i. Eva5 Lloyd; born March 1858 in Pennsylvania; married Jacob E. Martin, born February 1858 in Ohio. In 1900 and 1910, Jacob, Eva and family were in Elkhart, Indiana, where Jacob was a house painter. Marilla Lloyd, widow, was also living with Jacob and Eva and family in 1910.

(b) Benjamin Martin, born February 1891 in Indiana.

  217 ii. Melissa Lloyd; born July 1861 in Pennsylvania; married Oliver F. Bender, born September 1858 in Indiana. Oliver was a railroad engineer.

(b) Ralph Bender, born November 1891 in Indiana.

69. WILLIAM4 W. ALCORN (Elizabeth3, Richard2, James1); born December 1946; married Ida [—?—], born July 1861 in New York state. William was a farmer.

Children known from the 1900 federal census for Kossuth County, Iowa (all born in Iowa):218

  218 i. Florence5 Alcorn; born September 1880, married Charles Mast, born circa 1882 in Indiana. Charles was a farmer.
Known children when the family was living in Dickinson County, Kansas:219
(a) Arnold Mast, born circa 1907
(b) Kenneth Mast, born circa 1912 in Kansas.
(c) Dorothy Mast, born 1916 in Kansas.

Apparently Florence had died by 1930 when Charles, still farming in Dickinson County, Kansas, was enumerated with wife Bessie E. [—?—], born circa 1883 in Iowa.220 Also in the family at this time were step-daughters Alice and Alta (twins?), born circa 1914 in South Dakota
  219 ii. Harry Alcorb; born January 1882, married Ruth [—?—]), born circa 1891 in Missouri. Harry was a farmer.
Known children when the family was living in Benton County, Missouri (all born in Missouri):221
(a) Harry Alcorn, born circa 1913.
(b) Wilson W. Alcorn, born circa 1917.
(c) Helen F. Alcorn, born (private).
  220 iii. Mervin Alcorn; born September 1884; married Fairie [—?—], born circa 1887 in Missouri. Mervin was a farmer. In 1930, Mervin and Fairie, no children, were living nine houses from his brother Harry.
  221 iv. Elsie Alcorn, born June 1889; married John H. Carter, born circa 1886 in Missouri. John was a farmer. In 1930, the family was in Pettis County, Missouri.222 Known children in 1930 were (1) Russell Carter, born 1923 in Missouri; and (2) Katherine Carter, born circa 1925 in Missouri.
  222 v. Asa Alcorn; born June 1890; married Lorraine [—?—], born circa 1925 in Missouri. In 1930, Asa and Lorraine, no children, were living in Kansas City, Missouri, where Asa was enumerated as a mail clerk.223

81. CLARK4 HENDERSON (Daniel3, Richard2, James1); born March 1859; married ALICE A. [—?—], born September 1865 in Pennsylvania. In 1900, the family was in Southwest Township, Warren County, where Clark was enumerated as a farmer (census page 8A). In 1910 and 1920 Clark, Alice and son Gary were living in Warren, Pennsylvania, where Clark was listed as an oil producer. By 1930, Alice, widow, was living by herself in Warren, Pennsylvania.224
 
Their children were225

93. MILTON4 PARK HENDERSON (William3, Samuel2, James1); (specific dates tentative), born 25 Sept 1845; married Jennie [—?—], born March 1858 in New York state.

In 1880, in Greeley, Colorado, Milton and Jennie, no children, had a Friend R. Henderson, born circa 1859 in Pennsylvania, and wife Eugene Bell [—?—], born circa 1861, in the household.226 There was a Friend (or Freind) Henderson (#136), born circa 1859 in Pennsylvania, son of Robert and Margery (Coyle) Henderson, but he was enumerated with his mother and step-father in Titusville. Pennsylvania in 1880, and was still single in 1920 when he was a lodger in Oklahoma.

Children known from the 1900 federal census when the family was living in Greeley Colorado and Milton was enumerated as a city clerk:227

95. WILLIAM4 LEE HENDERSON(William3, Samuel2, James1); born 18 June 1850; married (first) Rosaline Virginia Clark, born circa 1856 in Iowa. William married (second) Emma [—?—], born March 1858 in Iowa. In 1880, William, Rose and family were in Greeley, Colorado, where William was enumerated as a stock raiser. In 1900 and 1910 William, second wife Emma and family were living in North Logan, Logan County, Colorado, where William was still in the stock raising business. In 1930, William and Emma and cousin Fred M. Smith, born circa 1899 in Colorado, were in Sterling, Logan County, Colorado.229

Also with William and Emma in 1900 and 1910 were three daughters of Emma and first husband [—?—] Brown: Ella Brown, born July 1880 in Indiana; Jessie L. Brown, born December 1881 in Indiana; and Arbo Brown, born February 1884 in Missouri.230

Children of William L. and first wife Rose:

Pearl5 Henderson; born circa 1877 in Colorado, married William Ernest Williams, born circa 1878 in Mississippi;231 their daughter Helen Margaret Williams, born circa 1905 in Ohio, married Donald A. Robb, born circa 1904 in Michigan,232 and had daughter Diana (Robb) Cronhardt, who found the will of James Henderson (#1), provided the maiden name of James Henderson's wife Sarah (Park), and generously shared photos and other Henderson information
  229 ii. John L. Henderson; born August 1879 in Iowa; married Mildred [—?—], born circa 1898? in Kansas. John was a brakeman on the railroad in 1900, when John was single and living with his parents. John eventually became a barber; the family lived in Ellis County, Kansas in 1920 and in Greeley, Colorado in 1930.

99. CORNELIUS4 POOR (Elizabeth3, Samuel2, James1); born 13 May 1845 in Pennsylvania; married 20 March 1867 Sarah Goodban,234 born October 1849 in Pennsylvania. In 1870, Cornelius was enumerated as a justice of the peace. The family eventually moved to Burlington, Iowa, where Cornelius was an attorney235 (see also Alonzo Poor’s biography above, #22).

Children of Cornelius and Sarah (Goodban) Poor were
